Horse racing is not just popular in Europe and in the United States, but even in Asia. The same with Malaysia and Hong Kong, horse racing was introduced in Singapore by the British. The game became so popular that was decreed as one of the forms of legal gambling just after the country gained its independence. The races are held at the Singapore Turf Club every Saturday and Sunday. Many follow the horse racing tips for these two racing days. Horse racing is very popular in Singapore that the place where the first horse racing was held was named Race Course Road and the original site of the Singapore Turf Club was named Turf Club Road.
Horse racing is also popular in other countries in Asia, such as India and Japan. In India, they have the Bangalore Turf Club, while Japan holds more than 21,000 races every year.
