There is one downside to affiliate marketing that you should be aware of. That is competition. You see, you won’t be the only one who is promoting some companies product. There may likely be hundreds! Affiliate Internet Marketing have to be smart and know where and how to advertise. One big help is to have your own list of subscribers to send out promotions to.

You heard me right, the single biggest advantage you can have as an affiliate marketer is your own list of people to promote to. Having your own list is one thing, but getting them to purchase products and services your offer them is another. There has to be a balance between useful free content and promotions. Generally, you want to use the 3 to 1 rule. 3 Good pieces of content in the form or articles, reports or software and then one promotion. This helps keep your members happy and on your list.

Trial and error is the name of the game when it comes to affiliate marketing. You have to be resolute in your efforts. Hard work will pay off in the end, it always does. And once you have a good handle on affiliate marketing then you can branch out into becoming a product owner yourself.
